1. IMAP settings
· The incoming mail server should be mail.btinternet.com.
· By selecting the SSL encryption, the port should be 993.
· SSL Encryption should be enabled, but it should not be STARTTLS.
· Your email address should be correct and complete with @btinternet, or @btopenworld.com

· Enter the password correctly.
· Keep in mind not to enable Secure Password Authentication (SPA).
· You can also set up Trash, Sent Items, and Drafts if supported by your IMAP client.
2. POP3 settings
· The outgoing mail server should be mail.btinternet.com.
· By selecting the SSL encryption, the port should be 995.
· SSL Encryption should be enabled, but it should not be STARTTLS.
· Your email address should be correct and complete with @btinternet, or @btopenworld.com

· Enter the password correctly.
· POP will pull the emails from your email’s Inbox by default.
3. SMTP settings
· The incoming mail server should be mail.btinternet.com.
· By selecting the SSL encryption, the port should be 465. Check the SSL as it will not be
populated automatically
· SSL Encryption should be enabled, but it should not be STARTTLS.
· Your email address should be correct and complete with @btinternet, or @btopenworld.com

· Enter the password correctly.
· Authentication should be PLAIN.
